A 21-year old from Tiverton has been charged with Operation While Impaired following an investigation where an officer with the South Bruce OPP alleged to have seen a vehicle in Victoria Park in Kincardine in the early morning hours of January 15 that was parked and running.
Upon investigation, the officer alleged to have seen signs of alcohol consumption by the occupants and a roadside screening device was utilized on the driver which the officer claims resulted in a fail.
The accused is set to appear in a Walkerton court next month.
A 58-year old from Waterdown has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Bodily Harm in connection with a two-vehicle collision January 13 around noon. The alleged incident occurred between a pickup truck and a sedan at the intersection of Southgate Road 24 and Southgate Sideroad 75.
Grey Bruce OPP said one individual is alleged to have sustained non life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash and the accused is scheduled to appear in a Owen Sound court next month.
One suspect has been arrested in Hanover when officers on patrol observed an insecure commercial property that was forcibly entered in the early morning hours of January 4. Police allege a suspect had fled prior to their arrival.
In a January 13 press release from Hanover Police, an investigation resulted in the January 6 arrest of a 36-year old male of no fixed address where police allege finding the suspect in possession of weapons, break-in tools and blank, uncut motor vehicle keys.
The man has been charged with multiple offences including Carrying a Concealed Weapon, two counts of Possession of Break-in Instruments two counts of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and six counts of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
In a January 13 release, Hanover Police allege that a male driver and two female passengers were found in possession of a quantity of Methamphetamine, Fentanyl and Cocaine in the afternoon of December 23. Police also allege that the suspects were in possession of digital scales, packaging materials and other drug paraphernalia.
Officers also seized property they alleged was stolen which remains under investigation.
A 41-year old from Southgate, a 33-year old of Hanover and a 50-year old of Brockton have been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and are scheduled to appear in a Walkerton court at a later date.
In a January 13 media release from the South Bruce OPP, while on general patrol along Highway 21 north of Kincardine, police allege they observed a vehicle leave the roadway and enter the ditch. The officer stopped to investigate and allege signs of impairment. The driver, a 43-year old of no fixed address, was taken to a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) resulting in a charge of Operation while Impaired. They are set to appear in a Walkerton Court in March.
